Kokomo Art Association

Laura had an incredible childhood filled with encouragement and opportunities in the fine arts.  Her first love was always music, but being blessed with a father who is an artist stimulated many other creative outlets in her childhood. Family activities around the kitchen table often explored art, music, writing, and puppetry.

Laura graduated from Ball State University with both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts degree in Music Education. After retiring as the Intermediate music teacher from Western School Corporation, she began studying acrylics and watercolor with Dixie Ben-nett. Laura eagerly pursues new art techniques and mediums in her free time.
